curiendo.com, the Curiendo marketing website, uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used.
A cookie is a small piece of data stored on a device or browser that can help a website maintain a session, remember information, protect accounts, understand performance, or remember preferences.

1. Types of cookies we may use
Essential cookies
These support functions such as security, session management, and other features necessary for curiendo.com to work.
Essential cookies cannot generally be disabled because parts of the site may not function correctly without them.
Functional cookies
These may remember choices such as language or interface settings.
No tool on this website uses them today. They stay off until a visitor allows them.
Analytics cookies
Where enabled, analytics technologies help us understand how the marketing website is used so we can improve it. We aim to use analytics proportionately.
On this website, the tools below run only after a visitor allows Analytics. The one exception is a limited signal Google Analytics sends without cookies, described under "Measurement without cookies".
- Google Analytics (Google): Counts visits and shows how the site is used. Cookies on curiendo.com: _ga and _ga_0WWJFE2BDS, up to 2 years.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft): Shows how visitors move through our pages, such as clicks and scrolling, so we can improve them. Cookies on curiendo.com: _clck (1 year) and _clsk (1 day). Clarity also sets cookies on its own domains, clarity.ms and bing.com.
- Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs): Counts visits for our search-performance reporting. It sets no cookies.
Measurement without cookies
Two kinds of measurement run for every visitor, whatever the cookie choice. Neither sets a cookie or stores anything on the device to recognize a visitor later. Refusing Analytics does not stop them; it keeps the analytics cookies above off.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare): Counts page views on curiendo.com and measures how quickly pages load. It does not run in the Curiendo app at curiendo.com/app, including its sign-in and sign-up pages. Cloudflare, which delivers this website, receives the page address, the referring page, the browser and device type, the country, and the load-time measurements. Cloudflare states that it uses no cookies, local storage or fingerprinting for this. We see only totals.
- Google Analytics without consent (Google): On curiendo.com and on the sign-in and sign-up pages, until a visitor allows Analytics, and after a visitor refuses it, Google Analytics sends Google a limited signal for each page view saying that consent was not given. It carries the page address and title, the referring page, and the browser, language and screen size, and it sets no cookie. Google uses these signals to estimate total visits.
Advertising technologies
curiendo.com does not use targeted advertising technologies to build advertising profiles of children.
No advertising technology runs on this website today. If one is added, it will run only after a visitor allows Advertising, and this notice will name it first.
2. Cookies never reach the Curiendo app
This notice covers curiendo.com, the public marketing website, and the Curiendo sign-in and sign-up pages at curiendo.com/app, which show the same banner and share the same choice. Once signed in, the Curiendo app used by families and learners, including Curiendo Family and the learner experience, does not load these cookies or any analytics technology.
We do not use cookies or similar technologies to build advertising profiles of children or support targeted advertising to learners.
3. Managing cookies
Visitors can accept or reject the optional categories (functional, analytics and advertising) through the cookie banner shown on a first visit, or at any later time through the Cookie settings control in the site footer.
This site sets one first-party cookie, named "curiendo_consent", for 180 days, to remember that choice once a visitor makes one. It holds the choice, when it was made, the version of the banner wording that was shown, and a randomly generated code. The banner asks again after 180 days, or sooner if its wording changes. No analytics or advertising cookie is set before a visitor allows it, and the only measurement that runs before then is the measurement without cookies described in section 1.
When a visitor makes or changes a choice, we keep a record of it: the random code, the choice, the time, the version and language of the banner wording that was shown, the page, whether the browser sent a Global Privacy Control signal, a shortened IP address, the browser type and the country. The record does not include a name, an email address or a full IP address. It lets us show which choice was made, and against which wording.
If a visitor withdraws a category, we delete the cookies its tools set on curiendo.com and reload the page. Cookies the tools set on their own websites, such as clarity.ms, can only be removed through the browser's settings.
A browser that sends a recognized Global Privacy Control signal keeps advertising off until the visitor chooses otherwise; the banner says so, and the signal is recorded with the choice.
Browser settings can also be used to block or remove cookies, although doing so may affect some functionality, such as remembering a language preference. Essential cookies described above cannot generally be disabled without affecting how the website works.
4. Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice when our technologies or practices change. The latest version and effective date will be published on this page.
